The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) agreement covering 55 member states with a 1.2Billion population and $2.6Trillion economy is a bold and amibtious goal to improve Intra-African trade. Much needs to be done within the planning and execution to ensure Africa’s regional giants accelerate efforts to trade effectively within their subcontinents. The Intra African Trade report provides clear statistics on what each African nation is committing to the world and to each other. Much more needs to be done if the goal is to be realised.
